Beirut, Asharq Al-Awsat – Saudi Ambassador in Beirut Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja has refused “to respond to an attack with an attack”, a reference to criticisms by several politicians and parties’ members of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s role.

Khoja told Asharq Al-Awsat in a telephone interview that “all near and far testify to the kingdom’s historic and glorious stands on the causes of Arabs and Muslims” and added: “Many tried but time proved that its stands were right and it remained firm in its stands and firm and proud in defending the nation. All those who accused it ended showing what they really were.” He stressed that “kingdom refrains from responding to any attack. As to the rumors and fabrications which some try to make now and them, time will prove their falsity as it had done before.”
