Saudi Defense Minister meets with UK counterpart | ASHARQ AL-AWSAT English Archive 2005 -2017

London, Asharq Al-Awsat – Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, currently on a visit to Britain, met with British Defence Secretary Philip Hammond at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence yesterday.

During the meeting the two ministers discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways of strengthening deep-rooted relations emanating from the ties of cooperation and friendship between them to serve their common interests.

Prince Salman was accompanied by the Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz; Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Commander of Saudi Royal Air Force Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Ayish; Director General of the Office of Minister of Defense Abdulrahman Saleh Al-Bunyan; and Saudi Military Attaché Air Commander Dawood Al-Salim.

While on the British side, Defence Secretary Hammond was accompanied by the Chief of the Defence Staff General Sir David Richards and British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Tom Phillips.

After the meeting, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz attended a dinner party held in his honor by British Defence Secretary.
