Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz today appointed Prince Khalid Al-Faisal as Governor of Makkah Province at the rank of minister. The post was previously held by Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz, who died May 5 after a lengthy illness.

King Abdullah also appointed Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz as Governor of Asir Province, at the rank of minister.
