HEBRON, West Bank (AP) – Police say a Palestinian man has died of his injuries after Israeli forces shot him close to a checkpoint in the southern West Bank.
Israel’s army says the 30-year-old man approached the checkpoint carrying a knife and attempted to stab a soldier. The army says Israeli troops opened fire and wounded the man, identified as Khalil Zaarir. He died in an Israeli hospital on Saturday.
