ISLAMABAD, June 7 (KUNA) — Pakistani security forces have arrested six Indians from Northwestern tribal region of North Waziristan bordering Afghanistan, said sources on Tuesday.

The Indian-Muslim suspects have been arrested for overstaying in the area, security sources told KUNA. When contacted, the military spokesman, Shaukat Sultan, couldnt confirm the report.

Pakistan has released around 700 Indian prisoners, mostly fishermen, since January. Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmoud Kasuri Friday said that as many as 457 Pakistanis are in Indian jails, who would be released soon after completion of legal formalities.
