LONDON (AP) – Police in London are investigating an apparent petrol bomb attack on the Iranian embassy which caused little damage and no injuries.

Police say the explosion was reported at the west London building just before 9 p.m. (2000 GMT) Monday.

Police said Tuesday that the explosion caused minor damage to the embassy’s door.

Investigators say a petrol bomb was the most likely cause, but that other possible causes have not been ruled out.

Detectives are examining closed-circuit TV footage from the area for clues about what happened.
