Houston-The Houston-based Saudi Refining, Inc., has announced that it would donate $5 million to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts for hurricane ”Katrina” victims.
"We support the Red Cross in its tireless efforts to meet the urgent needs of those who have been so tragically affected by Hurricane Katrina," Sharaf Salamah, the company”s president and chief executive, was quoted as saying in a statement issued here today by Dow Jones Newswires.
"Saudi Refining Inc., joins other Houston-area companies, organizations and individuals that have mobilized relief efforts on behalf of those impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina," the statement said.
Saudi Refining has a 50% interest in Motiva Enterprises LLC, which operates refining and marketing interests along the Gulf Coast. The company is a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco.
