BAGHDAD, (Reuters) – Gunmen fired on the car of Iraqi Sunni political leader Adnan al-Dulaimi on Thursday, killing a bodyguard and wounding three, said a spokesman for Dulaimi’s Iraqi Accordance Front who witnessed the incident.
Dulaimi, who was unharmed, had just left the armoured limousine he normally uses after it had a flat tyre. As bodyguards repaired the puncture, gunmen opened fire with machineguns destroying the vehicle, Front spokesman Zafar al-Ani told Reuters.
