BAGHDAD, (KUNA) — French reporter Florence Aubenas kidnapped in last January heads to Paris after being released Monday.

No details were given of the release of Aubenas or the fate of Hussein Hanoun Al-Saadi her Iraqi interpreter.

Security sources in the French Embassy said that Hanoun is at the French Embassy building.

Iraqi police forces sealed off the area, while embassy security forces filled the area.

Aubenas, a senior correspondent for the left-leaning French newspaper Liberacion, and her Iraqi interpreter were kidnapped after leaving her Baghdad hotel on January 5.
