Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat- Entitled “Shahrazad in the Saudi press”, the first book by Hala al Nasser, editor of Sayidaty magazine in Riyadh , includes her personal opinion and that of a number of female Saudi journalists on achievements of women in the field and the obstacles they faced along the way or might do in the future.

In eight chapters, the book discusses the history of the Saudi press and the career of a number of women in the field. It also contains an overview of the present state of Saudi women journalists and the difficulties they encounter. It also explores the present condition of journalism in the Kingdom and a vision for the future and suggestions to expand the work of Saudi women journalists.
