Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat – The social services and continued education center at the Imam Muhammad bin Saud University is finalizing arrangements to offer a number of courses in English and computer skills open to all members of the public.

Dean Abdullah bin Muahmmed al Razin indicated these courses are aimed at meeting the needs of Saudi society and helping the Kingdom’s citizen to become proficient in the English language, much needed in a number of sectors and jobs.

According to al Razin, at the end of the course, students will be expected to understand English, both written and oral, and be able to communicate in the language. The course also aims at increasing the proficiency of the academic staff and supervisors in the Ministry of Education and scientific institutions. It will explore methods of how to best teach foreign languages, manage classes, and act as a refresher for translators in government departments.

The language center will be equipped with the latest technology to facilitate language learning al Razin confirmed.
