HP today announced the availability of new HP BladeSystem solutions for small and medium business (SMB) customers and new training materials to help channel partners more effectively sell blade solutions to them.

Highlighting the offering is the availability of a new, affordable 1U power enclosure with up to 6 hot-plug power supplies that is ideal for smaller, single enclosure deployments of server and network blades. The power supply provides both power and AC line cord redundancy.

This HP BladeSystem solution also provides backward compatibility, allowing SMBs to leverage previous IT investments by fitting into the same rack as existing HP servers, storage and networking devices. It can also be ”scaled” affordably – new server, storage and network capacity can be simply added as the company”s needs grow.

&#34These enhancements to HP”s BladeSystem portfolio signify HP”s ongoing commitment to ensure that SMB customers can realize the benefits inherent in Blade architectures – now made even more affordable for smaller scale of deployments. SMB customers now have access to a viable HP BladeSystem solution providing the broadest choice of superior products and best-in-class management capabilities for lower total cost of ownership,&#34 said Ryan D”Souza Product Manager, Industry Standard Servers HP Middle East.

The new solutions and training are part of HP”s Blades for Business program, one of three easy-to-understand categories of the HP ProLiant Business Advantage program, which focuses on providing SMB customers with industry-standard server solutions.
