Riyadh, May 29, SPA — The 2nd session of the Saudi-Russian Joint Committee for Economic and Technical Cooperation was concluded here on Saturday evening under the co-chairmanship of Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and the Head of Russian Federal Energy Agency Sergei Oganesyan.

Dr. Al-Assaf and Oganesyan signed the minutes of the session and an agreement on setting up Saudi-Russian Business Council.

In a press statement, Dr. Al-Assaf noted that the visit of Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard to Moscow has given a great boost to bilateral relations in all fields particularly the economic field.

He pointed out that businessmen have agreed to hold two annual meetings one in Moscow and another in Riyadh and to hold permanent exhibitions.

The Minister of Finance added that the two sides have agreed on dual taxation and the agreement has been submitted to the Saudi Cabinet for approval.

Later, Dr. Al-Assaf held a dinner party in honor of Oganesyan and his accompanying delegation.
