ISF Approves $ 72.2 Million for Five Muslim Countries - ASHARQ AL-AWSAT English Archive

Jeddah,SPA – The Board of Directors of the Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF) has approved allocation of $ 72.2 million for five member states, namely Bangladesh, Indonesia, Burkina Faso, Jordan and Chad.

The Board of Directors, which has recently held its meeting under the chairmanship of Dr Ahmad Mohammed Ali, the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), reviewed the ISF’s activities and future plans.

The establishment of the ISF is aimed at fighting poverty in the member states in line with the decision adopted by the extraordinary Islamic summit, held in Mecca in December 2005.
