epa03771003 (FILE) A file photograph showing Muslim cleric Abu Qatada arriving at his home in north London after being freed on bail in London, England, 13 November 2012. Reports state on 02 July 2013 that the Jordanian government’s Official Gazette printed the treaty between Britain and Jordan which clears the way for cleric Abu Qatada to be deported to Jordan. The agreement marks the latest twist in the case of Omar Oathman – also known as Abu Qatada – a hardline Muslim cleric who was sentenced to more than eight years in prison by a Jordanian court in 1999 in absentia for alleged ties to al-Qaeda.
