Saudi and Chinese Forces in Training (Asharq Al-Awsat)


Riyadh – Saudi and Chinese armed forces concluded their joint military exercise “Exploration 2016” in the Chinese city of Chengdu which lasted for 15 days.

Special Forces of the Royal Saudi Land Forces and their counterparts in the Red Army were involved in the war games and military tactics. The exercises aimed to exchange experiences between the two sides in specialized areas within the framework of military cooperation between the two countries. This also is an extension of the strong relationship between the Kingdom and the People of Republic of China.

Lt. Salman al-Shahri, Saudi Military Attaché in China Colonel Ali al-Shaye, and several officers attended the closing ceremony.

Shahri expressed his joy in the military cooperation that joins both countries that are united by relationship based on ties of brotherhood, friendship and great history.

Shahri gave a speech saying that the joint exercise reflects the strong relationship between Saudi Arabia and China. He added that the Royal Saudi Special Forces showed high efficiency and accuracy in their training.

The closing ceremony also included trainings in difficult geographic areas and tough weather situations. It also included methods to rescue hostages.
