North Carolina- A bottle filled with flammable liquid was thrown through the front window of the Orange County Republican Party headquarters on Sunday, said local officials in a statement.
Somebody also scrawled graffiti on an adjacent building that read: “Nazi Republicans get out of town or else.”
No one was hurt, but a security alert was sent to other offices, said state Republican director Dallas Woodhouse.
“The flammable substance appears to have ignited inside the building, burned some furniture and damaged the building’s interior before going out,” local police said.
For his part, Trump said on Twitter: “Animals representing Hillary Clinton and Dems in North Carolina just firebombed our office in Orange County because we are winning.”
On the other hand, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said in a tweet the attack was “horrific and unacceptable”.
