Ramallah-Security bodies working for Hamas detained a director of office of one of the prominent figures in the movement and decided to execute him for working with Israel, according to sources that are close to the matter.

The Israeli “al-Masdar” website published that the convict was involved at the beginning with the Palestinian intelligence service in Ramallah; then he started a similar relation with the Israeli intelligence service and provided them with critical military and political information since he was briefed with all the files in his post.

The man, who worked in the political office of one of Hamas’s members, is considered a prominent security official, and he was detained lately by Hamas’s security apparatus after he was exposed by an employee working in on of Hamas’s leadership offices.

Following the investigations with him, the man admitted of dealing with the Palestinian and Israeli intelligence services and providing Israel with critical information regarding the work and actions taken by the leader in Hamas in addition to the latter’s connections and relations with military cells in Gaza and the West Bank.

He also confessed that he provided Israel with security information regarding military tunnels for Hamas that he used to check constantly.

The security apparatus, thus, linked his confessions to the success of the Israeli military and security institution lately in having critical security information regarding Hamas’s tunnels in addition to its activities near the borders.

Moreover, sources in Gaza pointed out that the information provided by this man played a major role in helping Israel figure out the places of cells that worked in the West Bank.
