LONDON (AP) – Britain’s highest court says secret evidence can no longer be used against three men who are accused of terrorism, but have never been given details of the allegations against them.

Law Lords at the House of Lords ruled on Wednesday that withholding evidence from the suspects on national security grounds was a breach of their human rights.

The three are among about 17 people who Britain detains under a house arrest-style system called control orders.

The suspects do not face criminal charges, but are accused of involvement in terrorism.

In some cases, prosecutors have refused to disclose any evidence against the suspects, citing concerns over compromising intelligence sources. Judges will review the three cases again.
