LONDON (AP) – British Army bomb experts have carried out a second controlled explosion at the home of a 19-year-old terror suspect in the southwestern city of Bristol.

Saturday’s detonation was the second in as many days at the house rented by the teenager. British media identified the suspect as Andrew Ibrahim, a recent Muslim convert.

Soldiers from the Royal Logistics Corps muffled the sound and impact of the blast with sandbags.

About 30 people were evacuated from their homes when a bomb disposal team exploded a first suspect package on a quiet residential street in the early hours of Friday.

Police say the 19-year-old was arrested on Thursday afternoon on terrorism charges. They have not released further details.
