Abu Dhabi – Emirati Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan reiterated his country’s support to Yemen in facing economic and security challenges.

Sheikh Zayed pointed out that UAE along with Coalition Forces led by Saudi Arabia aims to reestablish stability and security in Yemen and defeat the insurgents that threaten the future and security of the region.

Crown Prince spoke during his meeting with Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmad bin Daghr.

Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that Sheikh Zayed confirms Emirate’s supportive stand to the Yemeni people in overcoming security and economic challenges, and achieving national aspirations to restore stability in the country.

The Crown Prince welcomed the current Emirati-Yemeni relations. During the meeting, both parties examined bilateral relations and joint cooperation that serves the best interest of both countries.

For his part, bin Daghr briefed Sheikh Zayed on latest military and political developments in Yemen in light of the progress achieved by the legitimate forces on a number of fronts, especially the recent outcomes of the UN-brokered peace talks between Yemeni warring parties that were held in Kuwait.

In addition bin Daghr informed the Crown Prince on the humanitarian and relief operations currently taking place in more than one area to provide assistance to the affected people in Yemen.

Meanwhile, the two sides reiterated their support to the U.N.’s endeavors in backing negotiations between the Yemeni parties.
