CAIRO, (Reuters) – Thirteen Egyptian Christians were killed and about 30 injured when their bus overturned on Monday during a church outing, police sources said.

The Christians were travelling from the central town of Minya to the Mediterranean city of Alexandria and the crash took place about 30 km (20 miles) southwest of Cairo, they said. Bus accidents with high casualty tolls are common in Egypt because of dangerous driving and poor vehicle maintenance.
