Damascus- Syrian security forces have killed five militants in a clash with a ”terrorist” group in central Syria, the official ”SANA” news agency said on Saturday.

&#34The anti-terror squad raided on Friday evening a hideout of a terrorist group belonging to Jund al-Sham in the Hama governorate,&#34 it said.

&#34A clash took place and resulted in the killing of all five members of the group,&#34 Reuters quoted the official news agency as saying.

In other news, the Syrian government is willing to receive a U.N. investigator probing the assassination of Lebanese former Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri but no date has been set for the visit, a Syrian official source said on Saturday.

The source said Syria was willing to cooperate fully with the U.N. probe led by Detlev Mehlis, who has asked to interview Syrian officials in connection with the killing.

It was not clear who Mehlis would meet in Damascus, Reuters reported.
