Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat — In line with the directives of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the second relief plane left Riyadh on Wednesday evening for Indonesia carrying relief assistance to victims of the earthquake, which recently hit the country.

The plane was carrying 61 tons and 600 kilograms of relief assistance including tents, blankets and food materials.

Under the supervision of Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Popular Relief Campaign for the quake victims has also begun providing urgent humanitarian aid to Indonesia, and has opened an office in Yogyakarta, one of the areas hardest hit by the quake.

Immediately after the earthquake, King Abdullah extended $5 million in urgent financial assistance to Indonesia.
