Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat – The Saudi Royal Court announced that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was discharged from King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard in Riyadh yesterday evening. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed thanks to the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their noble feelings. He also expressed sincere thanks to the leaders of Arab, Islamic and friendly countries for wishing him good health, the statement said.
The Saudi Press Agency [SPA] reported that a number of Saudi governors, senior officials and citizens expressed pleasure over the recovery of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
In his own name and on behalf of the people of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Region, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Majed Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Region, congratulated the King on being discharged from hospital yesterday.
Also, Prince Mishaal Bin Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Najran Region, expressed his happiness over the recovery of the Saudi monarch.
For his part, Ibrahim Shakhboot Al-Sultan, Governor of Yanbu Province, speaking on behalf of his province’s people, expressed his joy at the King’s discharge from hospital.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, was discharged from hospital yesterday evening after undergoing successful surgery on his back.
In pictures broadcast on state television on 28 November, King Abdullah looked in good health as he was shown receiving members of the royal family in Riyadh.
