Washington- Saudi Charge D”affaires in Washington Rihab Mohammed bin Ibrahim Masaud has expressed appreciation for the heartfelt feelings spelt out by US President George W. Bush and the friendly American people on the death of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz.

Addressing a press conference here last night, Rihab highlighted the achievements attained during the era of King Fahd, and lauded the role of the deceased in developing and modernizing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He pointed out that King Fahd had successfully enabled the Kingdom to play an effective role at the regional and international arenas, notably in the field of joint cooperation and enhancing the global peace and stability.

Rihab pointed out that King Fahd was a member of the Saudi delegation which had participated in the conference of San Francisco where the announcement of the establishment of the organization of the Untied Nations was made.

Citing the internal achievements of King Fahd, he said they included the basic rule systems.

Rihab confirmed the existing strong Saudi-American relations, and said the recent visit paid to America by the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz would have a positive impact on further cementing bilateral relations.

He reiterated the cooperation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with other countries in fighting terrorism.
