Riyadh- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received on Friday Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, at Al-Auja Palace in Riyadh, and discussed with him bilateral ties as well as the latest regional and international developments.
King Salman hosted a banquet in honor of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and his accompanying delegation. It was attended by Saudi Princes, ministers and senior official.
The UAE delegation included Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zaid Al Nahyan, Advisor of the National Security; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency Affairs and a number of UAE officials.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the deep and strong ties between UAE and Saudi Arabia, referring to the level of coordination especially in the face of serious challenges, combating terrorism and achieving stability and security.
He also commended the major role of the Kingdom on the international level in safeguarding the Arab and Islamic interests, stressing that Saudi Arabia is the pillar of stability in the region “given its continued efforts to defend the Arab interests and its commitment to cohesion and unity.”
Later on Friday, Sheikh Mohammed left Riyadh after his several hour visit.
