Riyadh- The Specialized Criminal Court in Riyadh issued on Monday a preliminary prison sentence and a travel ban for two Saudis. The first was accused of writing a poem that supports ISIS and the second of guarding ISIS places in Syria after joining the group.

The accusations of the first condemned included: adopting a Takfiri methodology, supporting ISIS, showing willingness to join the group in the conflicts’ zones and writing poems that hail ISIS. The condemned also succeeded in purchasing weapons without a license.

The second condemned was accused of traveling to Syria, joining ISIS, getting a training in its camps, guarding the places of the group, having links with extremists and handing out his passport to ISIS members.

He was sentenced five years instead of six years, fined SAR3,000 and a travel ban for five years after being released from prison.
