Jeddah – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz met on Monday with Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammed Nawaz Sharif, who was on a visit to the Kingdom.

During the talks held at al-Salam Palace, the two officials reviewed “strong bilateral relations” and latest developments in the region, according to a statement by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The meeting was attended by Prince Khalid Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the King and Governor of Makkah Region; Prince Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; and a high-level Pakistani delegation, accompanying the prime minister.

Earlier in the day, King Salman received Sharif to exchange congratulations on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. Then, the officials attended an iftar banquet.

The Pakistani prime minister left Jeddah later in the evening. He was accompanied to the airport by the deputy governor of Makkah Region and a number of officials.
