Dammam-A wanted suspect was arrested on Friday after a raid on a house in Umm Al-Hamam village in Qatif Governorate. Suspect Mohsen Ibrahim Mosabah had allegedly shot security officer Faisal Bin Awad Al-Harbi.

In addition to the killing of Harbi, Mosabah was also wanted in several security offenses. His crimes included firing at security patrols and citizens, burning two cars belonging to two citizens after firing at them while they were passing through the village, kidnapping and raping a girl and robbing a money transporting vehicle.

“Mosabah is charged with the murder of security officer, Faisal Bin Awad Al-Harbi, who was killed in a gun attack in Saihat city in Qatif Governorate on June 24,” said Major General Mansour Al-Turki, a security spokesman from the Saudi Interior Ministry.

“Two other persons who were with Mosabah during the raid have also been arrested. They are being questioned to determine their relationship with Mosabah,” Turki added.

“The Interior Ministry affirms that criminals will be followed and prosecuted; they will not get away with their murders that target innocent people, shake social stability and breach the public order. The ministry also warns anyone who shelters, helps or covers these criminals up,” continued Turki.
