Riyadh- Minister of Labor and Social Development and Chairman of the 33rd session of the Council of Ministers of Labor and the Council of Ministers for Social Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States Dr. Moufarrej al-Haqbani confirmed the importance of implementing the Supreme Council’s decision, issued in its 36th session held in Riyadh in December 2015, on adoption of the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to promote the GCC joint action.

In his opening speech before the session on Tuesday in Riyadh, Dr. al-Haqbani said: “The vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques carried sublime contents to strengthen the blessed march of the GCC and its regional and international status, through joint action programs in several related sectors and social development fields.”

“These programs include the implementation of the GCC common market to achieve full equality among citizens of the GCC member countries in the governmental and private sectors and to encourage volunteer work, the issuance of GCC system to achieve integration in protecting the rights of the disabled in its member states and the completion of strategic and economic partnerships that add benefits to the citizens of our countries,” al-Haqbani said.

He added that the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques will contribute to achieving the aspirations of the GCC leaders about the requirements and the needs of sustainable development and increasing of productivity and competitiveness of national and GCC workforce.

The vision, according to al-Haqbani, will also “enhance the increase of the level of income of its citizens and their well-being with the development of the partnership between the GCC public and private sectors.”
