The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Holds Official Talks with Mali’s President (SPA)


Riyadh – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz held at Al-Yamamah Palace on Tuesday a session of official talks with President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita of the Republic of Mali.

At the outset of the session, the King handed over to the Malian President the prestigious “King Abdulaziz Necklace” and received the Highest Medal in the Republic of Mali.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed the prospects of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Mali, in various fields, as well as the means to strengthen collaboration.

The session was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard, Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Culture and Information Adel Altoraifi, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir, and Saudi Ambassador to Mali Masoud bin Ali Al-Orabi Al-Harthi.

On the Malian side, Minister of Security and Civil Defense General Salif Traore, Minister of Religious Affairs Thierno Amadou Omar Hass Diallo, and a number of officials attended the meeting.

The Malian president was received in an official ceremony, during which both countries’ national anthems were played.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques held a luncheon banquet in honor of the president and his accompanying delegation.

The reception and banquet were attended by a number of princes, ministers and senior officials.
