Saudi Leadership Expresses Condolences for German, Russian Presidents - ASHARQ AL-AWSAT English Archive

Riyadh- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman strongly condemned the terror attacks in Ankara and Berlin that claimed the lives of Russia’s ambassador to Turkey and 12 people in Germany.

In separate cables sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin and German President Joachim Gauck, the King offered condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the peoples and governments of Russia and Germany.

The King reiterated Saudi Arabia’s firm stance in rejecting terrorism in all its forms and emphasized the need for stepping up global efforts to stamp it out.

In his cable, the monarch said that he was informed of the terror stampede which took place in Berlin, resulting in killing and injuring many innocents.

“Strongly denouncing this criminal act, I express in my own name, the name of the people and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to your Excellency, the families of the victims and the friendly people of Germany our warm condolence and sincere sympathy.”

Moreover, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, sent a cable of condolence and sympathy to German President on the incident of terrorist stampede which took place in the German city of Berlin.

In his cable, the Crown Prince said that he was saddened to hear the news of the terror stampede which took place in Berlin, resulting in killing and injuring of many innocents.

“Strongly denouncing this criminal act which is rejected by all divine religions, and international norms and charters, I express to your Excellency, the families of the victims and the friendly people of Germany our warm condolence and sincere sympathy, wishing your country steady security and stability,” the Crown Prince said.

For his part, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, also sent a cable of condolence and sympathy to the German President on the incident of terrorist stampede that took place in the German city of Berlin.

In his cable, the Deputy Crown Prince said that he was saddened to hear the news of the terror stampede which took place in Berlin, resulting in killing and injuring of many innocents.

“Strongly denouncing this heinous act which is rejected by all divine religions, and international norms and charters, I express to your Excellency, the families of the victims and the friendly people of Germany our warm condolence and sincere sympathy, wishing the injured a quick recovery,” the Deputy Crown Prince said.
