Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Receives President of Republic of Turkey (SPA)


Riyadh–The latest developments on the regional and international arenas were on the discussion table during a session of official talks on Tuesday between Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

King Salman received at Al-Yamamah Palace the Turkish president, who was on a state visit to the Kingdom.

The top officials reviewed bilateral relations and aspects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries. They also discussed the latest developments in the regional and international scenes.

The session of talks was attended by a number of princes, ministers and senior officials.

Erdogan concluded his visit to Riyadh on Tuesday evening. He was accompanied to King Salman Airbase Airport by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Adel bin Ahmad Al-Jubeir, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a number of officials.

Earlier in the day, the Turkish president held a series of meetings with Prince Faisal bin Bandar; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister; and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense.

During his meeting with the Deputy Crown Prince, Erdogan reviewed bilateral relations and means to promote them at different levels.

Officials also skimmed through the latest developments in the region and efforts exerted to achieve security and stability, including the fight against terrorism.

The Crown Prince discussed with Erdogan developments in the Middle East and the two countries’ stances. They also reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation in a number of fields, particularly in the field of security and combating terrorism.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques held a luncheon banquet in honor of the Turkish President and his accompanying delegation.
