Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques holds talks with President of Maldives/SPA


Riyadh-Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held on Tuesday talks with Maldivian President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayoom at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.

During their meeting, King Salman and Abdul Gayoom discussed relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields. They also discussed the latest Islamic and international developments.

The meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Meteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Meteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard; Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet; Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment; Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi, Minister of Culture and Information; Adel bin Ahmad Al-Jubeir, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and the President of Maldives’ accompanying delegation.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques then held an official reception ceremony for the Maldivian President; the national anthems of the two countries were played, and he reviewed the guard of honor.

King Salman held a luncheon banquet in honor of Abdul Gayoom and his accompanying delegation.

The reception and the banquet were attended by a number of princes.

On Tuesday evening, Abdul Gayoom received Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmad Al-Jubeir.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and discussed the latest developments at the regional and international levels.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment, Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and a number of officials.
