New York- The Saudi Foreign Ministry has said that FM Adel Al-Jubeir has stressed the kingdom’s keenness to work with the United Nations to meet the challenges facing the region and the world, including the peace process in the Middle East and the crises in Yemen and Syria.
The Saudi stance was made during a meeting between Jubeir and U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres at the United Nations headquarters in New York, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
A the outset of the meeting, Jubeir conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince to the U.N. Secretary General, said the agency.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs had arrived in Washington, where he met with a number of senior U.S. administration officials to discuss means of cooperation to face challenges in the region, SPA added.
