Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, discussed counter-terrorism on Sunday with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

The two officials tackled joint efforts to combat terror, including drying up the financing of terrorist groups in order to achieve security and stability in the region.

They also covered during their talks bilateral ties and the latest regional developments.

The two officials had last met when Tillerson accompanied US President Donald Trump to Saudi Arabia where a landmark Arab-Islamic-US summit was hosted by Riyadh.
