Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif holds talks with Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn in Riyadh (SPA)


Riyadh – Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior held at King Saud Guest Palace on Sunday a lunch banquet in honor of the Prime Minister of Republic of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn and his accompanying delegation currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The banquet was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region; Prince Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Cabinet’s Member and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; a number of princes; and officials.

Desalegn and the accompanying delegation arrived in Riyadh on Sunday on an official visit to the Kingdom.
They were received at King Salman Air Base Airport by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Adviser to the Minister Interior; Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; and a number of officials.

The delegation of the prime minister also included Abraham Tekeste, Ethiopian minister of finance and economic development, Defense Minister Siraj Fergessa, Ambassador Berhane Gebre-Christos, and the prime minister’s adviser, Sufian Ahmed, who is also adviser on fiscal policy.

Later that evening, the Crown Prince held in Riyadh a working banquet dinner for Italian Interior Minister Angelino Alfano and the accompanying delegation.

During the working dinner, the Crown Prince and the Italian Interior Minister exchanged conversations on topics of common interest between the two countries in a number of areas, including security and joint cooperation to combat extremism and the fight against terrorism.

Meanwhile, Ethiopia’s Desalegn received at his residence Deputy Minister of Finance Hamad bin Sulaiman al-Bazei where they discussed a number of issues pertaining to economic affairs between the two countries.

Later, the Ethiopian PM received the Minister of Commerce and Investment Majid al-Qassabi. During the meeting, the two discussed economic issues.
