Jeddah-Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud confirmed that the homeland’s security at its highest degrees and is getting stronger every day.

“Thanks to the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as well as all security men, whom the society is proud of their determination to purify the country from whoever dares to tamper with its gains, sanctities and safety of its citizens and expatriates alike, praying to Allah Almighty to bless the souls of the martyrs, wishing the injured a speedy recovery,” he said.

The Crown Prince’s confirmations came during the Cabinet’s session, which he chaired at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday.

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef expressed thanks and appreciation to the leaders of sisterly and friendly countries for their congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s King, government and people on the occasion of the holy Eid Al-Fitr; and for their condemnation of the terrorist incidents that targeted sites in the cities of Jeddah, Qatif and Madinah.

The Crown Prince briefed the members with the details of the phone call between Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.

In that call, King Salman congratulated the Turkish President and welcomed the return to normalcy in Turkey and the prevalence of security and stability under the leadership of Erdogan and the Turkish government’s continuation in exercising its functions.

The Crown Prince also briefed the members with the phone call that took place between the monarch and British new Premier Theresa May in which he congratulated her on becoming Britain’s new Prime Minister, stressing the strong relations between the two countries.

The Cabinet also condemned the terrorist deliberate stampeding incident that took place in the city of Nice, France, expressing its condolences to the French Republic’s leadership, government, people and the families of the victims; wishing the injured a speedy recovery and confirming the Kingdom’s firm stand with the French Republic.

Following the Cabinet’s session, Minister of Culture and Information Adel al-Turaifi told SPA that the Cabinet warned the whole world from the threat of terrorism, which started to take several forms, shapes and ideologies that would eventually lead to killing the innocent.

He stressed the Kingdom’s firm positions and its strong stand to confront terrorism and its commitment, determination and cooperation with other countries to pursue terrorists and dry up their sources.

Locally, the Saudi Crown Prince expressed gratitude to Allah the Almighty that more than 6 million pilgrims safely performed Umrah rituals during Ramadan in a religious atmosphere.

He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all bodies concerned with the system of Haj and Umrah who helped worshippers to accomplish their rituals in comfort, peace and tranquility.

Al-Turaifi said the Cabinet discussed other issues on the agenda, including those being reviewed by the Shoura Council, and took several decisions.

These decisions include the Cabinet’s authorization for the crown prince, deputy premier and minister of interior, or his deputy, to discuss with the Bangladeshi side a security cooperation agreement and a repatriation of the wanted agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of Bangladesh, to sign, and forward the final versions for further authentication.
