Crown Prince Chairs Meeting of Political and Security Affairs Council (SPA)


Riyadh – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz chaired a meeting of Political and Security Affairs Council at al-Yamamah Palace on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the council listened to a political and security briefing on a number of topics and latest developments at regional and international arena, and took the necessary recommendations in this regard.

The Crown Prince, who is also chairman of the Civil Defense Council, chaired at his interior ministry office in Riyadh on Wednesday the ninth session of the council.

At the outset of the meeting, he highlighted security, stability and prosperity in Saudi Arabia, lauding the efforts being exerted by the members of the civil defense board and their follow-up of the works of the council to achieve safety and protection from risks and disasters.

The meeting reviewed a number of issues on its agenda, including the national strategy for reducing the risks of catastrophes, disasters information system, and rights and duties regulations for civil defense personnel.
