Riyadh- The Saudi cabinet stressed the state’s standards regarding the Palestinian cause and affirmed that the two-state solution is the only foundation to resolve the crisis.

The session at Al Yamamah Palace in Riyadh was chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

In its session on Monday, the Saudi cabinet renewed Riyadh’s condemnation and denunciation of terrorist acts that took place in a number of Afghan cities which led to killing and injuring dozens of people including the death of five citizens from the United Arab Emirates.

King Salman informed the cabinet of the outcomes of discussions with Felipe VI of Spain, Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Grand Mufti of Lebanon Sheikh Abd al-Latif Darian and Canadian senator Georges Fiori.

The Cabinet congratulated King Salman on winning King Faisal international prize for the service of Islam for this year in recognition of his service to the two holy mosques and their visitors, support for the historical Atlas project for the prophet’s biography, as well as his strenuous efforts to bring Arab and Muslim people together to face difficult situations engulfing their nations.

As the council heard a number of reports on events’ development regionally and internationally, it considered that the Saudi hosting of the conference of the global coalition against ISIS, with the participation of 13 countries, “reveals the state’s commitment to support and back international efforts to combat terrorist organizations.”

The cabinet also hailed the concluding statement of the conference and what has been agreed upon among participants regarding the importance of continuing efforts to eradicate ISIS given its’ threat on the region and the international community.
