Dammam- Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Justice Walid Al-Samaari issued a circulation for all courts to take into consideration the tough circumstances of Saudi border guards and their inability to follow up on legal case files and trials given their preoccupation with their duty to defend the nation.

The circulation followed the fact that some executive decisions have been taken with regards to these guards including stopping their service and preventing governmental authorities from dealing with them and putting them in prison.

Mohammed al-Jazlani, a judge in one of Riyadh’s court, said that the importance of this circulation lies in alleviating pressure on guards and granting them more time because they are performing the most valued duty.

Jazlani added that consideration can be applied in various ways including not closing the case if the guard who is concerned with it does not attend the sessions, because re-opening the case would later require complicated procedures.

Jazlani continued that some urgent cases related to evidence, inheritance and attorney must be completed in a quick pace as an appreciation for the guard and his role.
