Mohammed Bin Salman Discusses Efforts to Stabilise the Region With Hammond | ASHARQ AL-AWSAT English Archive 2005 -2017

The Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman who is also the Second Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence met the British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond in Jeddah yesterday. During their meeting, they discussed areas of cooperation between the two countries, developments in the situation of the region and efforts made to achieve security and stability in it.

The meeting was attended by Fahd Al-Issa, a consultant at the royal court and the general supervisor of the defence minister’s office, Britain’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia Simon Collis and a number of officials from the two countries.

The British Foreign Office issued a statement saying that Philip Hammond had arrived in Saudi Arabia yesterday, and its official spokesperson Edwin Samuel said that Hammond is on a three day tour of the Gulf and will meet a number of officials and discuss regional and international issues with them.
