Tokyo-On the sidelines of the visit of Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense to Japan, Minister of Trade and Investment Dr. Majed Bin Abdullah Al Qasabi convened on Friday with a number of officials at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and listened to their points of view on chances of reinforcing investment between the two countries.
Qasabi discussed with JICA vice president opportunities of providing technical training for Saudis and motivating small and medium enterprises SMEs. Minister of Trade has also met the executive manager of Nippon Yūsen Kabushiki Kaisha to discuss the development of Saudi ports in the Red Sea.
Minister of Labor and Social Development Dr. Mufrej Al-Haqbani has also met vice president of JICA and they brought up a number of topics related to reinforcing partnership between JICA and the ministry of labor and social development in various fields such as cooperation in the volunteering work and in providing social development experts to offer consultancy in certain development related affairs.
The meeting also tackled the ongoing cooperation and current partnership with JICA in the technical and vocational fields via a number of programs that aim at increasing skills of trainers, males and females, to encourage the involvement of women as well.
They both decided in the conclusion of the meeting to put a program for the upcoming period to implement what has been agreed upon through a mutual teamwork.
Later, Qasabi and Minister of Energy Khaled Al-Falih convened with Toyota executive manager and talked about investment opportunities to nationalize the vehicle industry.
