Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bids farewell to Kuwait’s Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber. (SPA)


Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz concluded the last leg of his Gulf tour in Kuwait on Saturday, heading back to Riyadh. King Salman had earlier visited Bahrain to partake in the 37th GCC summit. Before that, he had also visited each of the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman sent an appreciative cable to Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah following his three-day visit to Kuwait.

In his cable, the King said, “We express our best thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality accorded to us and the accompanying delegation during our stay.

“Your Highness, this visit gave us the opportunity to discuss with you all issues that enhance the existing bonds of brotherhood between our countries and people.”

At King Salman Air Base Airport, the King was received by Riyadh Emir Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage Prince Sultan Bin Salman, Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior; Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense.

Earlier at Kuwait International Airport, the King was seen off by Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and a number of senior officials.

On Friday, King Salman attended a performance at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center, Kuwait’s opera house, alongside the country’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber.
