Riyadh – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received at his palace Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain and his accompanying delegation.

The Custodian welcomed Prince Khalifa and his accompanying delegation in the Kingdom, while the Bahraini Prime Minister expressed his happiness to visit the Kingdom and meet with the King.

The PM conveyed the greetings of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his best wishes to Saudi Arabia and the Saudi people of more progress and prosperity.

King Salman and the Prime Minister reviewed regional and international developments and stressed the importance to continue adopting initiatives to promote the GCC bloc and enhance integration of its member states.

They also underlined the need for concerted efforts to confront challenges. In this respect, the Prime Minister commended the role of Saudi Arabia in rallying ranks to defend the interests of the GCC countries and people.

King Salman and the PM underscored the importance of broadening the scope of cooperation and rapprochement between each GCC member state and the regional and international surrounding so as to boost regional security, stability and growth.

The PM affirmed that the specificity of relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia represents a unique model of deep-rooted historic relations between countries.

The Prime Minister commended the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the bulwark of the Arab identity and the defender of the Arab and Muslims’ dignity and unity. He also stressed Saudi Arabia’s efforts to boost the role of the Arab and Islamic nation as a global power with a political and economic weight.

Prince Khalifa thanked King Salman for his supportive stances to Bahrain, commending solid fraternal relations between both countries.

Later, the Custodian held a luncheon banquet in honor of Prince Khalifa and his accompanying delegation.

The audience and the banquet were attended by Prince Khalid bin Fahd bin Khalid, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region, and a number of princes.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud also received at al-Yamamah palace the Prime Minister of the Republic of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn and his accompanying delegation currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At the outset of the reception, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed the Prime Minister of the Republic of Ethiopia, who expressed his happiness to visit the Kingdom and meet with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia held a session of talks during which they discussed bilateral relations and ways of developing and strengthening them as well as the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in various fields and the developments at regional and international arenas.

The audience and talks were attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region; Prince Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Cabinet s Member and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister; Minister of State and Cabinet s Member Musaed bin Mohammed al-Aiban; Minister of State and Cabinets Member Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz al-Assaf; Minister of Culture and Information Adel bin Zaid al-Toraifi; Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Jada an and Saudi Ambassador to Ethiopia Abdullah bin Faleh al-Arjani.

The talks were also attended by a number of Ethiopian ministers and officials.

Earlier, King Salman received at al-Yamamah palace Italian Interior Minister Angelino Alfano currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between the two countries.

The audience was attended by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member Musaed bin Mohammed al-Aiban; Minister of Culture and Information Adel bin Zaid al-Toraifi, and Italian Ambassador to the Kingdom Luca Ferrari.

On Monday, King Salman met with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yusuf bin Ahmed al-Othaimeen.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques congratulated Othaimeen on the occasion of his election as Secretary-General of OIC, wishing him all success in his mission to serve the issues of the Islamic nation.
