Speech of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques for heads of state and senior Islamic dignitaries who performed Hajj/ SPA

Mina-The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, has reaffirmed his country’s rejection of the exploitation of the Hajj season to serve political agendas or intensify ideological differences.

“Exaggeration in religion is abhorred. When exaggeration enters the body of the Muslim nation, it spoils its unity, future and image before the world. There is no salvation from this affliction except to uproot it without mercy,” King Salman said.

Speaking to dignitaries from Muslim countries at a reception at the royal court in Mina, King Salman stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to support all efforts exerted for the Islamic nation’s own good.

“On this day, the day of the Grand Eid, the day of sacrifice, and in pursuit of the Sunnah of our Prophet Mohammed, pilgrims continue the performance of their rituals in peace and tranquility surrounded by Allah’s care and help.

“The Kingdom is proud and honored by the service of the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. Saudi Arabia has exploited all its potentials to serve pilgrims, ensure their comfort, and provide all means and ways to facilitate the performance of their rituals easily and comfortably.

“Islam is the religion of peace, justice, brotherhood, love, and benevolence. What is being witnessed by the Muslim world today in some parts of conflicts, tragedies, division and rivalry necessitates that we exert all efforts to resolve these conflicts.

“Dear brothers and sisters pilgrims: We welcome you in the land of the revelation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as dear guests. We pray to Allah to accept your Hajj rituals, forgive your sins and return this great occasion to us and the Islamic nation in glory and empowerment.”

Secretary General of the Muslim World League Dr. Mohammed al-Issa expressed gratitude for King Salman for his role in serving Islam in general and the Two Holy Mosques in specific. Issa hailed “Saudi Arabia’s call for establishing an Islamic military coalition to combat terrorism and unite efforts to cut off its supply.”

Minister of Youth and Sports Mohamed Ouzzine delivered the speech of the heads of pilgrims’ affairs offices. “The heads of pilgrims’ affairs offices admit that God has honored this country and the Muslims in it by serving the land which is a destination of pilgrims from all over the world.”

Finally, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques left Mina on Tuesday and arrived in Jeddah, after getting assured that pilgrims were offered services and facilities permitting them to perform Hajj in a comfortable way.
