Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz held official talks at al-Yamamah Palace with President of the Republic of Niger Issoufou Mahamadou.

The talks addressed means of enhancing bilateral relations in various fields as well as the developments in the region.

Following the talks session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques honored the President with King Abdulaziz Medal.

A security cooperation agreement between the two countries was co-signed by Deputy Minister of Interior Abdulrahman bin Ali al-Rubaia’an and Niger’s Minister of National Defense Kalla Moutari.

A draft agreement to build and equip primary schools in all regions of the Republic of Niger, a draft agreement on Kandadji Dam project and a memorandum of understanding on the 5th stage of the Saudi Program for Digging Wells and Rural Development between the two countries were also co-signed by Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Fund for Development Managing Director Eng. Yousef bin Ibrahim al-Bassam and Niger’s Minister of Planning Kane Aichatou Boulama.

The President was received by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region.

He was received in an official ceremony, the national anthems of the two countries were played and he reviewed the guard of honor.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques shook hands with the delegation accompanying the President of Republic of Niger.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques held a luncheon banquet in honor of the Niger’s President and his accompanying delegation.

The reception and banquet were attended by Prince Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Prince Bandar bin Abdullah bin Abdulrahman, Prince Saad bin Abdullah bin Turki, and a number of princes.
