Cairo- “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has ordered to host 1,000 families of the martyrs of Egyptian armed forces and police to perform Hajj rituals this year,” Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the Arab League and Dean of Arab Diplomatic Corps Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan said in a statement issued by the Saudi Embassy in Cairo Monday.

Qattan said King Salman has issued instructions to the concerned agencies to make the necessary arrangements for the pilgrims to be able to perform Hajj smoothly.

He added that the hosting comes “in appreciation from the King for the families of martyrs who have sacrificed their lives to defend their homeland.”

Meanwhile, Speaker of the Pan-Arab Parliament Dr. Meshaal al-Salami praised King Salman for his order.

In a statement, Dr. Salami said the directive indicates King Salman’s appreciation for the families of the martyrs, who sacrificed their own children in defense of the homeland, to confront terrorist groups that aim to undermine the unity of the Egyptian society and destabilize its security and stability.

“The Arab Parliament stressed its support for Arab countries battling terrorism,” Salami said.

He also thanked Saudi Arabia for its significant role in combating terrorism and supporting other Arab countries that are hit with these cowardly attacks and its founding of the Islamic Military Alliance, which has already been joined by 41 Arab and Muslim countries.

On the other hand, Bahrain and Kuwait’s Cabinets have commended the great efforts exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, resulting in lifting the restrictions imposed on worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

They said that this move reflects his keenness to patronize the holy sites, embodies the global status of the Saudi King in leading the Islamic nation and also reflects the broad international recognition of Saudi Arabia and its role in serving Islam and Muslims and defending the issues of the Islamic Ummah in addition to protecting its sanctities.

The cabinets of the two Gulf States also strongly condemned the attempt of Houthi militias and ousted President Ali Saleh targeting Makkah Region with missiles, describing it as a brutal attack tampering the sanctity of the holy places of Makkah and Madinah and provocating the feelings of Muslims.
