Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Receives President of Equatorial Guinea. (SPA)


Jeddah- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz received at Al-Salam palace in Jeddah on Wednesday visiting Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

The two leaders held a session of official talks during which they reviewed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them, said Saudi Press Agency SPA.

Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding on political consultations and a general agreement for cooperation between the foreign ministry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the foreign ministry of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea was signed.

The document was co-signed by Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani, minister of state for foreign affairs, on behalf of the Kingdom, and Agapito Mba Mokuy, minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation, on behalf of the west African country.

A number of officials have attended both the talks and signing such as Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Meteb bin Abdulaziz, minister of state and member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; and senior protocol officials as well as the accompanying delegation of the Guinean president.

Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques held a luncheon in honor of the visiting president and the accompanying delegation.

Mbasogo had arrived in Jeddah on Tuesday. Upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport, he was received by a number of Saudi royal members and high-profile officials.
